CHARGE YOUR VEHICLE AT HOME

You can charge your electric vehicle at home with two levels of charging that each offer a different rate of charge: Level 1 3-prong outlet (120V) or Level 2 AC charging (240V) with a high-power 4-prong wall outlet or a professionally installed charging station.†

Before charging, set your preferred charging settings:

1. Open the Charging app on your center display.

2. Choose Charge Now to begin charging immediately when you plug in or Charge Later to delay start of charging.

a. If using Charge Later, swipe the Time Selector on the screen to adjust when you would like the vehicle to be ready.

b. Set the percentage at which you would like the vehicle to stop charging (or target charge level) by dragging the gauge marker to your desired percentage or tapping the Up and Down arrows.

3. Toggle cabin preconditioning On or Off.

a. Enabling preconditioning protects battery range by using energy from the charger (as opposed to drawing from the battery while driving) to condition your cabin.

4. Set a home location and a charging schedule with a per-day setting.

To begin charging your vehicle at home:

1. With your vehicle in PARK, locate the charging port on the outside of the vehicle:

a. Press the rear edge of the port door to pop it open.

b. If equipped with a motorized charge port door, press the emblem or indicator located on the door to open the charge port.

2. Insert the vehicle connector of a charge cord or wall charger into the connection point (called an inlet) beneath the door to begin charging.

To stop charging and unplug your vehicle at home:

1. Press the latch release button located at the top of the vehicle connector and free the connector for unplugging.

a. You may also stop charging virtually if you see the Stop Charge button in your vehicle’s center display or mobile app.†

2. Close the charge port door.

a. Some vehicles will emit three beeps to remind you to close your charge port door if you leave it open.

b. If equipped with a Power Charge Port Door, the automated charge port door will shut on its own when you shift out of PARK.

Note: You do not have to wait for a charge to complete to stop charging your vehicle.
