STREAM CONTENT FROM YOUR VEHICLE WITH FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER ENTERTAINMENT

Passenger Entertainment for certain 25MY and newer vehicles lets you play video and audio content from compatible devices connected by HDMI to touch-screen displays in the front and/or rear passenger seats.

You can also stream content from the Hulu*, YouTube* and YouTube Kids apps, or use the web browser if your vehicle has an appropriate OnStar® plan*. For more information, contact an OnStar Advisor.

HOW IT WORKS

To get started, double tap anywhere on the passenger screens to turn them on. You may be asked to accept the Terms & Conditions to continue.

The Entertainment Hub app lets a front user control the passenger screen sources, including the front passenger screen, left rear screen or right rear screen. Users can also turn the passenger screens On or Off, or mute audio from the Entertainment Hub.

To play videos from your device:

  1. Connect your preferred device via HDMI port and then select HDMI on the screen, or in the rear passenger screens, select the correct input (HDMI1 or HDMI2) on the screen
  2. Rear-seat passengers can share video from screen to screen by swiping towards the other screen or pressing the Share button. A share request will pop up on the other screen and the passenger can choose to Accept or Deny the shared content

To stream video on your passenger seat screen:

  1. To get started, you may have to accept the Terms & Conditions
  2. Tap the Hulu, YouTube or YouTube Kids icon on the passenger screen
  3. Sign into your Hulu or YouTube account (required for Hulu; optional for YouTube), which will let you activate your passenger screen as a device on your account
  4. Browse video content to begin streaming

To browse the web on your passenger seat screen:

  1. Tap the Web Browser icon on the passenger screen
  2. You may be asked to agree to Terms and Conditions
  3. From there, you will be able to browse for content to stream from the web browser

QUICK REMOTE

Your passenger screen may show a message reading “Quick Remote Available,” which is a feature that lets you use your smartphone as a trackpad to navigate the display remotely. Here’s how to connect:

  1. Connect your smartphone to the vehicle’s Wi-Fi® Hotspot by tapping the Wi-Fi® Hotspot icon on the front center display, followed by Show QR code. Scan the code to connect to the vehicle Wi-Fi® Hotspot
  2. Scan the QR Code on the passenger screen and follow instructions on your smart device to complete the pairing process
  3. After pairing, you can control the screen by tapping/dragging one or two fingers on their paired device
