THE 2024 RISING ICON OF CADILLAC

Ingrid Silva is considered to be one of the most promising dancers in the world and the face of modern ballet. Her passion and determination for breaking down barriers is nothing short of inspiring.

Born and raised in Rio De Janeiro, she began her journey into dance at the age of 8 at Dançando Para Não Dançar in the Mangueira slum. From a young age, she began to rise through the ranks in Brazil, and in 2007, her talent and pursuit of excellence earned her a full scholarship at the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York.

Her drive pushed her to overcome all obstacles and not only enter spaces where no other dancer looked like her but also outperform every dancer and represent possibilities for future dancers of color. In 2008, Ingrid joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem's Dancing Through Barriers Ensemble. She then made her professional debut in 2013 and is now in her 7th season with the company, flourishing as a principal dancer.
