HOW TO ADD OR REMOVE A VEHICLE FROM MY ACCOUNT
The simplest way to add or remove a vehicle from your account is to call 1-800-4ONSTAR to speak with an OnStar® Advisor, whether you have an active OnStar plan or not.
There are some circumstances when adding or removing a vehicle from your account manually may be possible.
ADD A VEHICLE
If you wish to add a vehicle to your account, push the blue OnStar button inside your vehicle or call 1-800-4ONSTAR to speak with an Advisor.
Note (effective December 2022): 2014 model year and older GM vehicles, as well as select 2015 vehicles, will no longer have access to in-vehicle OnStar services due to cellular network upgrades. If you have questions about vehicles in this model year range, you can contact an OnStar Advisor 24/7 by calling 1-800-4ONSTAR.
MyCadillac Mobile App
Vehicles with active OnStar plans will automatically show up in My Account. If your vehicle is connected to an OnStar account but no longer has an active plan, you may still be able to add it to your GM account via the myCadillac mobile
1. Open the myCadillac mobile app and sign in.
2. Select your initials in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3. Select Add Product tile to go to Add Vehicle screen, OR
4. Select Manage My Products link to be taken to your My Account Garage.
a. From My Account Garage, select Add Vehicle.
5. On the Add Vehicle screen, enter the VIN, Year, Make, Model and Nickname for the vehicle you wish to add.
6. Select Done.
On Desktop or Mobile Browser
If you already have multiple vehicles in your My Account Garage, you can manually add more vehicles to your account using a desktop or mobile browser. To do so:
1. Navigate to the Vehicle Overview of one of your existing vehicles.
2. Select Switch Vehicles in the top-right corner of the page.
3. Select Manage Products from the pop-up window that appears.
4. On your My Account Garage page, select Add Vehicle in the top-right corner of the page.
5. Enter the VIN of the vehicle you wish to add and select Find Vehicle, OR
6. Enter the Year, Make and Model for the vehicle you wish to add, and select Add Vehicle.
REMOVE A VEHICLE
Vehicles connected to your OnStar account are automatically added to your My Account Garage. If you wish to remove a vehicle, please push the blue OnStar button inside your vehicle or call 1-800-4ONSTAR to speak with an Advisor.
Vehicle Removal Special Cases
- Manually Added – If a vehicle was manually added to your My Account Garage in the past and you wish to remove it:
- Select the Remove Vehicle link underneath the vehicle name on the Vehicle Overview page, OR
- Select the Remove Vehicle button on the vehicle tile on your My Account Garage page.
- Remove Vehicle Link Not Working – If you select the Remove Vehicle link underneath a vehicle in your My Account Garage, but still can’t remove the vehicle, it is likely connected to an OnStar account. For assistance, please call 1-800-4ONSTAR to speak with an Advisor.
- No Longer Own Vehicle – If you wish to remove a vehicle from your My Account Garage that you no longer own, please call 1-800-4ONSTAR to speak with an Advisor. The Advisor will mark the vehicle as sold and disassociate it with your OnStar account.
