Get Started with Turn Signal Activated View on ESCALADE IQ

Turn Signal Activated View† is an available trailering feature that’s designed to show you the side of your vehicle and trailer when you activate your turn signal. It can assist you to get a better view of the side of your trailer while you complete your turn to help avoid curbs and other obstacles.


1. You may have to enable Turn Signal Activated View and the Trailer Length Indicator in your vehicle’s Settings menu.

a. The Trailer Length Indicator is a red box that appears on your camera display that’s designed to give you an idea of how long your trailer is while your trailer is straight. It’s designed to help you make lane changes more easily and safely.

2. Once the feature is on, after you activate your turn signal, it will show you a view of the side of your vehicle and trailer on your center display while you’re turning.

a. This view will stay on your display for two seconds after you unlatch the turn signal so you can see the trailer as you complete the maneuver.

3. When your trailer is straight, you’ll also see a red box on the camera view that’s designed to show you how long your trailer is.

 

The Trailer Length Indicator (the red box) is designed to be twice the length of the trailer based on the dimensions you’ve entered in the active trailer profile. It is designed to provide a visual aid for lane change maneuvers. This feature requires a trailer profile to be set up and measurements be entered for that profile.
