CHARGING APP – QUICK START
Tap the Charging App (lightning bolt) icon on your vehicle’s infotainment screen to get started.
Next Charge: Choose whether to Charge Now or Charge Later, set your Charge Level, and toggle cabin pre-conditioning on or off. If a home charging schedule is set for today, this screen will display the settings for your charge schedule. These settings are retained over key cycles.
Charge Assist: You must have a myCadillac Mobile App
Schedule: After storing your Home Charge Location (any location can be set as “home”), create charging schedules by tapping the “+” symbol. Edit existing schedules by tapping them. Each day can only be included in one schedule. When plugged in at home, unscheduled days will automatically be set to Charge Now and will charge according to the current “Charge to” setting.
Settings: Customize a variety of charging preferences.
IMPORTANT:
- When you first plug your vehicle into the charger, you’ll see a blue light flash on your dashboard to confirm the vehicle has connected to the charger.
- After you see the blue light flash, you’ll see a blinking green light to confirm that your vehicle is charging. The slower the light flashes, the more your vehicle has charged. Once charging is complete, the light will stay solid green.
- If you see a blinking blue light on your dashboard, that means your vehicle has been set to delayed charging. It will begin charging at a later time based on your charge settings. Check the Charge Later or Schedule sections of the Charging App to figure out if you have delayed charging turned on.
To help you maintain your vehicle’s battery, it is recommended you only charge your battery to 80% capacity for daily use. This allows space in the battery for regenerative braking, which uses the electric motor to help slow the vehicle while simultaneously charging the vehicle with free energy. For longer trips, you can adjust your charge above 80% for extended range. See your Owner’s Manual for more information.
